Renew My Strength Lord

Updated: Jan 3, 2023

The Lord will energize the people who love and trust in Him!

(Isaiah 40:31 ESV) '31 but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.'

Scripture Thought:

In some seasons of our lives, we can sometimes become weary, worn, and tired of the circumstances which seem to be never-ending. This is the time in our lives when we have to be very careful because, in these times, we tend to sink or swim, give up or continue on the journey. It can be difficult, especially when we fill the Lord is not responding to our needs or is slow in His response to us. In the book of Isaiah 4o:31, there is a promise that if we choose to wait on the Lord that He will renew our strength. That also means that there will be seasons in our lives when we get fed up with our circumstances, but we still have to hold on to the Lord. The Lord knows when He needs to come in to renew our strength; He knows you better than you know yourself. This being said, it does not make things easier for us, but His Word definitely gives us hope.

The Lord is not always about making things easier for His people. Going through scripture, there are so many times that God takes His people through the difficult route to develop them into who He needs them to be. The stronger you need to be to accomplish your calling on the Earth for God, the more developed you need to be. In general, people hate difficult seasons, but it is the difficult seasons that make us greater than what we currently are. It is the difficult seasons that build us up, strengthen our character, and resolve. Athletes, for instance, are always working on their bodies to get the best possible performance out of them. To do this, the body must be continually challenged to become greater. For God to get the best out of His people, we have to go through His development process. It can be painful at times, but we must know that it is worth it.

Let's look at (Proverbs 24:10 ESV) 'If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.' The Lord knows all the things that will take place in our lives, and because of this, He prepares us beforehand. He wants us to be strong in all of our days, especially in the worst of our days. This is actually an advantage for us, and the problem is we are the ones who have to go through the development process. The key factor in all of this is, don't give up. If you are willing to allow yourself to be developed and strengthened, God will make sure you come out on top of your troubles.

My Thoughts:

Trials, tribulations, and hardships seem like the story of my life. I am either in the middle of a trial, the end of one, or starting a new one. I am not sure I have ever had any downtime from one. That just means that Satan is busy, an active force against the people of God. That also means that the Lord is actively watching over His people and helping them with the tools needed to overcome the works of the devil and his dominion. I know that we, as children of God, have to trust the process of God. The way the Lord builds us strengthens us and prepares our minds are all for a reason. The Lord is preparing us to stand in the day of adversity and not faint in it.

Challenge:

Challenge yourself to pray and read God's Word on a daily basis. As you start to understand it, start acting out on what it says. Then you will truly see the blessing of the Word of God in your life.

Prayer:

Ask your Heavenly Father to help you to understand His Word and give you the wisdom and understanding needed to act upon it.
